Once Upon A Time

December 21, 2012

Image My friend’s sister is an avid fan of bestselling authors such as the likes of John Grisham, Sidney Sheldon, Danielle Steele, Cassandra Clare, and even Suzanne Collins. For book  worms like she and I, we are also collectors of the book series laid down by these brilliant writers. Nevertheless, not everybody has the financial ability to acquire the actual books, so many of us resort to ebooks or digital books.

The love for books is similar to that of an addict and his drug, it brings us the high. Like drugs, a perfectly good book brings one to another dimension where anything is possible from guns to car chases to flying dragons and castles and what everyone yearns for – a happy ending.

This happy ending is quite common in children’s books where there is always a hint of imagination and a whole lot of reality. We all have observed how these books became movies and are not only for young people but with adults as well.

The following are the children’s tales that were also known for their film adaptations. These stories are also available in ebook format. See for yourselves.

The Adventures of Tintin

Created by the Belgian artist Georges Remi, the Adventures of Tintin is a series of comic albums about a Belgian Reporter named Tintin. During his adventures, he brings along his trustworthy dog, Snowy, who he involves in dodgy cases but still in the end, saves the day.

The Princess and the Frog

Every girl will know by heart the story of the Princess and the Frog which was tailored into a motion picture in 2009. Although the movie consisted of few modifications in the storyline, the theme of the tale was preserved by Walt Disney.

The tale revolves around a young princess who granted the wish of a talking frog in exchange for the ball dropped by the princess within the well. There are a number of book adaptations for the Princess and the Frog although they all were based from The Brothers Grimm fairy tale, ‘The Frog Prince’,

Tangled

This yet another princess story which is also a musical fantasy-comedy motion picture from Walt Disney Pictures. Tangled was Disney’s take on the story of Rapunzel, the princess with the long hair. You and your little princess will certainly have your night fulfilled with Tangled.

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax

Now here is one of the famous books for the young ones. Whether you’re an all-for-the-earth parent or not, you can’t have your kids grow up without knowing the tale of the Lorax.

The focus of the story is the enormity of what greed can do to the environment. This children’s book was given a film equal from Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment.

Whether you decide to have them as a book or a movie, enhance the experience with the tablet accessories that would match the scene. Or maybe if you decide to read for your son or daughter, there are a number of ebook accessories that can accompany you and bring the night to its happy ending.

Bet you didn’t know some of them had a book counterpart. Kidding aside, what is truly of value are the lessons taken from them. All lessons are for everyone to learn.
