Start your day right

February 22, 2013
  1. Have you ever experienced feeling like yoHead Case Designs Vintage Retro Back Case Cover for Sony Xperia S LT26iu woke up on the wrong side of the bed? It seems like everything is so out of place and no matter what you do, everything just doesn’t feel right. Then maybe, just maybe, you did not start your day right. What you need to do is take control of your mornings with these simple tips:
  2. Plan ahead. You must make a list of activities for the next day to take away your anxiety. This gives you a good start the following day. Choosing what outfit to wear, which pair of shoes to put on, and making sure that you have packed all your stuff for tomorrow are all part of planning ahead.
  3. Get enough sleep. Ideally, 8 hours of sleep is what people need to wake up feeling well-rested. Having less sleep can make you feel still tired from yesterday’s hectic schedule. On the other hand, having too much of it can also ruin your day because you then realize that you spent most of the day in bed which leaves you not having enough time to be productive.
  4. Wake up earlier. Doing this gives you the needed precious minutes to think ahead and prepare yourself mentally to face the upcoming day’s challenges. Not hitting that snooze button gives you enough time to do your morning rituals without having the need to cram.
  5. Be thankful. Start your day with a positive outlook. Thanking Him for all your blessings can help you set a good mood. Also, learn to say words of affirmation from time to time. Not only that you get a chance to see the beauty of the world around you, you also make other people feel good.
  6. Exercise. Engaging in physical activities like doing a 15-minute jog to start your day helps release endorphins. Endorphins are also known as happy hormones. Having enough of these can elevate your mood to have that smile from ear to ear for the rest of the day.
  7. Take a shower. Before heading out, take a hot shower to wash the morning blues away and leave you squeaky clean to add up your confidence to face the day ahead.
  8. Eat breakfast…at home. Eating a nutritious meal in the morning after a long time of fasting gives you the right amount of energy to jumpstart your day. It is better to have it at home rather than on your way to work or at your workspace to give you enough time to relax.
  9. Play some music. While on your way to work, try listening to any type of music using your smartphone through your mobile earphones. Whether it is rock, pop, jazz, or classical for as long as it suits you, then you’re sure to be feeling the good vibes.
  10. Doing the tips mentioned above can seem to be just like following a baloney ritual. However, never underestimate the power of starting your day right because who knows, this might be something that will make you stand out among the rest.
